@Gilly,
With an aspect ratio of 16:9, a 720p resolution is 1280x720, just like a 1080p resolution is 1920x1080. If you see a number smaller than 720, such as 1280x536, it simply means the aspect ratio is different (not as tall, such as 2.35:1), but it still qualifies as 720p.
